​Daniel Shub is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® and a Founder of Octo Capital.

He studied to be an engineer but always had an aptitude for finances and investing. Daniel began his career at a Fortune 500 company. His disillusionment with the standard practice of financial management firms led to the creation of Octo Capital. 

His clients include educators, engineers, physicians, nurses, attorneys, CPAs, business owners, and retirees.

Daniel serves clients throughout Detroit metro area and across the country. He has contributed to or been featured in Forbes, Bloomberg Businessweek, CNBC, Market Watch, Kiplinger, Yahoo Finance, and many ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX affiliates. Born in Ukraine, Daniel emigrated to the United States and has been living in Michigan for over 29 years, currently residing in Franklin, Michigan, with his wife and two sons.

When Daniel is not perfecting financial plans and investment strategies for his clients, you can find him at soccer games, on the tennis court, exploring art, and reading.

Octo Capital has selected TD Ameritrade Institutional as the primary custodian for our clients' accounts. Having TD Ameritrade act as custodian for client assets provides us access to a wide range of services to help serve our clients.

TD Ameritrade Institutional and Schwab Advisor Services are merging and becoming Schwab Advisor Services. The united platform will offer a best-of-both technology platform and new and improved products and services that will benefit all advisors and their clients. We're excited to announce the transition is expected to take place Labor Day weekend 2023. Until then, TD Ameritrade and Schwab Advisor Services continue to operate as separate custodians.
