What happened during the "Lost Decade" in the U.S and is there anyway to avoid another?Some might familiarize the "Lost Decade" with Japan's years of economic downturn in the 90's, where the term originated after years of serious economic stagnation. The term paints a picture of a 10 year span of time of wealth that was completely wiped out. The years following, the U.S dealt with its own "Lost Decade", starting with the dot-com bubble from 200-2002 and ending with the housing bubble in 2007-2008. These two recessions at the start and end of the decade meant that any market gains in between were essentially wiped out. The question is, have we actually learned anything?
